OnlineDIRECT in the Community: Weston Favell Centre Foodbank
On Friday, 28th October, we started our volunteering partnership at the Weston Favell Centre Foodbank in Northampton.
OnlineDIRECT is always looking at ways in which we can support the local community as part of our charity volunteer work. One particular charity that is closely aligned with our company values is the Weston Favell Centre Foodbank, based in Northampton.
On Friday, 28th October, Gemma Austin, Lisa Finn and Sarah Foot all visited the centre to lend a helping hand to the local food bank. The team spent the day distributing food boxes to local households, engaged with the local community, and took care of the ‘extra item’ stations for the charity.
Gemma, SME Account Manager, said: “It was rewarding to be able to give our time to Weston Favell Foodbank, which in the main runs off the generosity from volunteers. We all enjoyed spending our time there. It really opens your eyes and makes you appreciate helping others in need.”
Over the next couple of months, we will regularly visit the foodbank to continue offering our services. Here are a few images from our first visit last week!
