Our Application Process 

Your OnlineDIRECT brokerage journey starts when you submit our Broker Application Form, which you’ll find below. 

Within next few days, you'll then be invited to talk through your application with our Broker Onboarding Team and have any questions answered. If you meet our quality standards and are happy with the terms and fees outlined in our Ways of Working documents, we'll create a new energyengine account for you and go through any final information you need to get started. 

Once all the paperwork is signed, you'll have your first platform training session and at that point, you're ready to start selling!

Typically this whole process takes around 2 weeks, but if you're newly incorporated it can take a little longer. If you're already ADR-registered, this can be considerably quicker - we've had some brokerages go through the entire process and start selling in under a week!

Before you apply

Here’s a few things you should know about our application process and membership of our Broker Network with us: 

  • We only work with ADR-scheme registered brokerages (specifically the Energy Ombudsman, DRO, or UIA scheme)
  • You can apply if you're not already a ADR-scheme member, but won't be accepted until your brokerage has an active membership
  • We have high standards, and our application process is robust in order to help maintain those standards

Once accepted into our Broker Network, all brokers must adhere to the terms outlined in our "Ways of Working" documents, and we reserve the right to withdraw services, system features, and/or support if they are not upheld.
